Sun was blazing yesterday, so I took a stroll between meetings around Lambs Conduit Street.
Lots of boutiques, well worth a visit, especially if you are looking for gifts.
My favourites were The French House, which had some gorgeous pendent lamps from Hand and Eye Studio, Peregrine's PopUp shop with massive photo of their old family run factory at Cube, as well as Folk, loved the DIY effect detailing

I was lucky enough to have a good friend offer me a spare ticket to the Paralympics on Wednesday. Especially because I made zero effort to get any tickets!
As you can well imagine, it was very inspirational watching the paralympians overcoming their conditions and excelling at sport, far better than I could!
We were extremely lucky with the weather, blue skies all day, not a cloud in sight. Which made the much debated sculpture by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond look striking against the bright blue sky.
I was pretty excited to go to Zaha's aquatic centre, and grateful for the "wings" that were added on, as that's where I was sat! Very hard to get a good shot of the building because of them though, so will have to make a trip back to the park when the've been taken down.
Moseyed along South bank this weekend, and came across this outdoor photography exhibition by Tom Stoddart. This reportage exhibition highlights the suffering of those less fortunate than us, around the globe.
Next time I moan about not having enough cashish for that gorgeous dress in Anthropologie, I'm going to think about the starving Sudanese child whose maize is being stolen by a healthy Sudanese man.
Worth a look, if you are that way. We are all very lucky.
Sunshine in London has seemed far too rare this year, so I tried to make the most of it this weekend!
On Saturday, I explored Maltby Street Market with the good people from Lalani & Co, exquisite tea purveyors. The Market was born from the industrial baking sites of top London Cafe's and Restaurants.
First stop was Bea's of Bloomsbury, where we destroyed some very tasty pancakes and french toast. Probably too much, as I was then totally stuffed, and the rest of the markets delicacies were a bit wasted on me.
I did try some fantastic cheese from Neil's Yard Dairy, excellent organic wine, as well as some amazing smoked salmon, from a vendor on the Rope Walk.
Some how, it all felt a little bit New York, as well as being much more relaxing experience than Borough Market.
A bit of a walk from London Bridge, but totally worth it. Next time, I'm bringing a bigger appetite and more cash....
Apologies for the very large gap in Blog posts! July was a busy work month for me, as well as getting ready for my trip to Bermuda to see family and friends.
I definitely stop to smell the roses more in Bermuda. And I'm always struck by the beautiful details that come from nature there.
This time, I was taken out on a boat trip to "The Vixen" a ship wreck, off Sandys Parish. The Captain of the boat gave us bread to feed the fish, and it was a frenzy! Also saw about 10 turtles and an Eagle Ray. They didn't photograph so well...

I was fortunate enough to go to the opening of the Gadaffi Archives last night, which is part of the London Photography Festival.
A vast collection of photos of Gadaffi, as well as some of his predecessor, King Idriss.
Among other things, I learnt that every IRA bomb that has been made has Libyan Semetex in it. Tons of it were given to the IRA by Gadaffi as a "gift".
Some of the photographs were documented by brave photographers who lost their life in Libya, and the exhibition is dedicated to them, as well as the Libyan people who lost their lives during his tyrannical regime.
When you learn a bit more about what these people had to go through, it puts my petty woes to rest. We are very lucky here in London.
It is only on for 9 days, and is only £7.50 at the Slade on Woburn Square in Fitzrovia. I highly recommend going if you can. It's a keen insight to the human rights atrocities that can happen, even by our own government who are being sued by a Libyan who was secretly deported into Gadaffi's hands, and subsequently tortured.

Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes.... and senses. This weekend I attended Love Box, a 3 day music festival in London's Victoria Park. Smaller than Glastonbury, but also very diverse, each day had a different feel and crowd. Started off with the tweens on Friday, and ended up with the queens (drag) on Sunday!
Fave acts - Groove Armada (reminded me of my "Gap Yah"), Grace Jones, and the street dancers at the Dalston Super Stars tent.
So I've been re-assesing my website, and uploaded a few bits of sketch work from some life drawing sessions. I really need to make time to go to more of them! Can you start a new years resolution half way through the year??

So degree show season is here! Popped to the Truman Brewery on Friday night, to have a look at the Middlesex University lot.
Seeing all the creative talent made me wistful for my uni days. Good to pop by for a look if you are in the area.
Went with the girls for a cheeky curry after, on London's famous Brick Lane, well deserved after a hectic week!
